The Swansboro Historical Association supports CCG research and is proud to educate citizens about historic preservation issues, the designated Swansboro Historic District, and to support individuals in historic restoration efforts. The SHA collects, preserves, and share the history of Swansboro and region through public gatherings and programs. CCG contributes a portion of each Spirits of Swansboro ticket to the SHA as we both strive to educate people about the rich history of the Swasnboro Area.

The team is well tersed in the history of Eastern North Carolina and founding members can trace their lineage back to Blackbeard himself.

Meet CCG Owner
As a native of Swansboro, Claire Jones has always loved her hometown and its many charms. Graduating from East Carolina with a B.S. in Hospitality Management, she spent 10 years in hotel operations and leadership, followed by the next 8 years as a learning & development professional in retail and tech.
After living in every time zone in the U.S. and traveling extensively, Claire relocated back to Swansboro in 2022 realizing there is nowhere better to live than in the Friendly City by the Sea. Settling back in to the area, Claire heard many friends and visitors sharing their love of the town and desire for more evening activities downtown. With a rich history, quaint downtown, countless stories of paranormal activity in local shops and her personal hobby of all things paranormal, Claire launched CCG in September 2023.
Claire is an active member of the Swansboro History Association, serves on the HOA Board for Swann Harbour Community. She spends free time with her pugs Romeo & Tapioca Pearl and kayaking the intracoastal.
